OUR STAFF CARERS
Our staff carers represent a diverse range of backgrounds and bring with them a wealth of experience from various child related fields. We provide you with the assurance of knowing that your children are being cared for by a responsible and reliable adult at all times; both when you are at home and in your absence. Ladybirds & Dragonflies Childminding Service is committed to protecting children and young people from harm. We require all applicants who are to work with children and young people to undergo an extensive screening process prior to appointment, a process that includes, but is not limited to, comprehensive reference checks, and identity check, a 'working with children check' and/or a 'national criminal history record' check.
It is also a requirement of our service that all staff carers hold a current first aid qualification and formal qualifcation within the childcare industry and/or else are parents themselves with first hand knowledge and experience of raising their own family.
| Parent Staff Carers
A number of our staff carers have children of their own. These staff carers - known as parent staff carers can assist you with your childcare needs but are also able to bring along their own child/ren to the booking.
This benefits you in the following ways: | - Your child will have another child that they can interact with for the duration of the booking
Our parent carers will provide equal care to your child as well as their own during bookings. Our parent carers are also available on request to care for your child without their own children present if required. Charges remain the same regardless of a parent carer attending booking with/without their child.

Priority Staff Carers
For your first booking you may request a staff carer directly from our website; alternatively we will appoint you a carer whom we feel best meets your families needs. Upon completion of your first booking you will be provided with a feedback form to gain feedback on the carer/family combination. If your family is happy to have the same staff carer again they become your priority carer. For future requests first preference will always be given to your priority carer to complete the booking.
